Fundamentals of Design | 1st Semester | Winter Semester 2017/18

Within a given volume of 10 x 10 x 10 metres, students in the first semester of the Bachelor of Interior Architecture course designed Roomlings (a term by the Swiss architect Andrea Deplazes) – unusual spaces with specific characteristics. These were printed as precise architectural models in the faculty's workshop using the FDM process (Fused Deposition Modeling).

Everyone carries a room about inside them. This fact can be proven by means of the sense of hearing. If someone walks fast and one pricks up one's ears and listens, say at night, when everything around is silent, one hears, for instance, the rattling of a mirror not quite firmly fastened to the wall.
