The DVW Baden-Württemberg awarded Mr Johannes Sischka, B. Eng., the renowned Harbert Book Prize in recognition of his outstanding achievements during his studies at the HFT Stuttgart.
With this prize, the DVW honours the best graduate of a year in the surveying and geoinformatics degree programme.
During his studies, Mr Sischka consistently impressed with his outstanding achievements. His Bachelor's thesis on ‘GNSS (Global Navigation Satellite Systems) and INS (Inertial Navigation Systems)’ was also awarded top marks. As part of a water measurement by ship, he investigated how this is possible with the help of inertial navigation even when GNSS data is not available (e.g. under bridges).
As a graduate of the HFT Stuttgart, he is now starting his professional career directly in an engineering office in Constance. We wish him a good start, much joy and success!
The book prize is donated by DVW - Gesellschaft für Geodäsie, Geoinformation und Landmanagement e. V. In the picture: Vice-Dean Prof. Dr. Hardy Lehmkühler, prize winner Johannes Sischka and the deputy DVW chairwoman Kathleen Kraus.
