The Bachelor's degree programme in Augmented Reality / Virtual Reality Engineering will start for the first time in the winter semester 2024/2025 at HFT Stuttgart. It teaches the mathematical and technical basics, soft skills and an in-depth understanding of the development of augmented reality (AR) and virtual reality (VR) technologies.
This course was developed jointly with all departments of Faculty C and covers the areas of digitalization, computer science, mathematics and surveying. It combines precisely those areas of knowledge that are crucial for the design and implementation of AR/VR systems and thus for a successful career in the AR/VR industry. With this innovative and unique program in Germany, HFT Stuttgart offers students the opportunity to build up in-depth knowledge of AR/VR technologies with a focus on industrial applications and thus meet the growing demand for specialists with the appropriate expertise in the AR/VR field. Students can expect a holistic education that builds on mathematical and technical foundations, while at the same time promoting important soft skills and preparing them for the engineering of complex systems for AR and VR applications in companies.
