Design specialisation in space | Nova Michalski | 2nd semester | winter semester 2023/24
Stuttgart has numerous bunkers from the Second World War, including this one in the west of Stuttgart. The task was to reactivate the existing bunker in the best possible way and develop a meaningful use for it.
This project is based on the many schools in the immediate vicinity and proposes use as a social meeting place and youth centre. The offer includes sports activities, learning aids, creative courses and rooms for social workers.
In order to make the bunker visible on the surface, the ceiling is opened up at one point, while the remaining walls can be experienced as an accessible element, which also creates a parkour area.
The student research project was supervised by Prof Harald Roser and Sascha Bauer.
