In the coming years, the railway lines north of the Stuttgart train station will be shut down, including the flying junction, which currently still allows five different railway lines to intersect. In the urban planning competition 'Rosenstein' it was proposed to preserve the building, to strip it free and to give it a cultural use. For this purpose, a concept which is to be continued throughout the entire area in the future, was developed. It features an entrance situation, residential and studio use, exhibition areas and a coffee house.
The work was supervised by Prof. Harald Roser.
