The architect Alessandra Rampazzo teaches as a visiting professor at the HFT Stuttgart in the Master's degree programme in architecture and reports in the English-speaking lecture with her office partner Marcello Galiotto on the work of the joint office AMAA.
Italy-based studio AMAA Collaborative Office For Research And Development will report on the professional experience gained over the last 10 years, sharing reflections and insights into the progress of their continuous architectural research.
By presenting a selection of realized and ongoing projects, AMAA will go through some of the challenges they face as architects. They will talk about the importance of keeping a critical attitude, examining the various steps involved in the complex and non-linear process of architecture.
The lecture will be the occasion to share thoughts about interventions and material choices, with a focus on restoration projects, where architects are often confronted with the challenges of giving new life to a building, while seeking a dialogue between contemporaneity and tradition.
