In a large exhibition, the BEST OF 2024, the Faculty of Architecture and Design once again presented selected, outstanding works by students from all of the faculty's degree programmes.
This year, the professors selected outstanding works from the enormous wealth of all student research projects and final theses of the year, all of which are presented in a digital collection. At the same time, some of the works were exhibited "live" at the university in Building 8 from October 17 to 24.
Prof. Dr.-Ing. Jan Cremers, Dean of the Faculty, and Prof. Dipl.-Ing. Andreas Kretzer, responsible for the organisation of the roof party, welcomed around 300 guests to the vernissage of the exhibition and the integrated roof party at the university on 17 October 2024, where a varied program awaited them:
In collaboration with Dr. Maria da Piedade Ferreira, the first-year students of interior design put on an artistic performance in extravagant robes. After a short break, the architecture first-year students presented their highly original paper dresses as an interpretation of the Sterntaler fairy tale in the form of a fashion show. Last but not least, the International Project Management course presented the variety and diversity of the individual students by means of various outfits representing the students' respective home countries.
On a total of three floors, guests were able to discover large-format plans, models in different scales, exciting installations, presentation videos and self-made furniture - each degree programme presented itself individually.
In addition to interesting projects, there was also an extensive range of drinks on offer: New this year, in addition to the main bar, which was organized by Block 4, were a Campari and a Lillet bar, which were supported by the degree courses.
We would like to congratulate the award-winning students and thank all teaching staff for their considerable commitment in supervising the exhibited work!
Our big thank you also goes to all those who were involved in the realisation of the exhibition!
You can still view all the works in the digital collection.
