In the summer semester, students from the architecture and interior design courses dedicated themselves to the thematically unusual comic genre for budding architects and interior designers as part of an elective course.
Now they have the opportunity to show their drawings publicly in a small exhibition and thus to be part of the Stuttgart Comic Festival "ComicJuju".
At Café and Bar ConSafos the comics by Annalena Baumann, Onno Boecker, Philemon Bühler, Josip Gudelj, Steffen Heinz, Ulrike Hoffmann, Anna-Lena Mergenthaler, Elena Müller, Valerija Overchuk, Hugo Polauke and Patricia Weber will be impressively presented in a metre-long glass showcase.
Comic fans, those with an affinity for art, students and the curious are invited to discover!
The elective subject "Architecture and Comics" was supervised by professors Markus Binder and Andreas Kretzer. Perhaps the exhibition will inspire the one or other student to take part in the next semester? A new edition of the elective in cooperation with Sarah Chand (festival organiser, comic author and lecturer at the HfK+G* in Stuttgart) is already being planned!

This satellite exhibition, along with other exhibitions, is part of the Stuttgart Comic Days "ComicJuju", which will enter its next round this year from 17 to 19 September: The small, fine festival shows itself this year with numerous events on site. In cooperation with the Superjuju Concept Store and other shops, bars and cafés, in addition to the exhibitions there will be moderated readings and talks with artists, a comic workshop and lectures, including one by Professor Markus Binder.
A self-curated and Riso-printed magazine will be available again this year – with drawn contributions on the theme of "Alb*Traum", which will also be exhibited in Stuttgart City Hall.
The exhibition in Stuttgart City Hall opens on 06.09.2021 and runs until 30.09.2021.
