The "Myco Lab" - Laboratory for Mycelium Materials was initiated in 2023 by academic associate Melissa Acker and has been managed by her ever since. The improvised research lab for the development and testing of building materials based on mycelium enables experimental material studies and sustainable material innovations. It offers students low-threshold access to experimenting with fungal mycelium.
