In the SensAR project, HFT researchers are looking at how reality can be augmented with data from sensors via augmented reality solutions, such as glasses or smartphone apps, and what benefits this can bring to the production process. The approach focuses on generalizable processes that occur in many companies without intruding into specific production processes.
The aim is to reduce the workload through automated recording and digitized assistance systems. Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) should thus be given easier access to the technology field of augmented reality.
The project is funded by the Carl Zeiss Foundation with 750,000 euros.
Two webinars will be held on the SensAR project. The organizer is the Stuttgart Region Chamber of Industry and Commerce.
In the first of two webinars on Wednesday, March 24, from 03:00 to 04:00 p.m., we would like to present our current technological approaches to the subarea "object recognition" and "visualization" as well as first implementations (for example, the recognition of load carriers in industrial halls or the implementation for a needs-specific user interface).
Registration takes place directly via the IHK Region Stuttgart.
In subsequent short workshops, we are curious about your feedback and ideas on possible further applications of our methods in order to be able to further develop them in line with real needs.
