During the joint closing event, Prof. Dr.-Ing. Lutz Gaspers presented each of the Canadian students with a certificate of successful participation in the HFT Summer School "Mobility and Transport".
This marks the end of an exciting week of international exchange. Both the Canadian guests and their hosts from Stuttgart were enthusiastic about the excursions and workshops that gave the Canadians an understanding of German and European mobility solutions. The program included a trip to Lake Constance, where they explored the Constance ferry and the Zeppelin Museum in Friedrichshafen, as well as getting to know the Stuttgart region with its S-Bahn, light rail, public bus and rack railroad. Stuttgart classics such as the Mercedes-Benz Museum and the TV Tower were not missed. In workshops, traffic relations in Stuttgart's city center were modeled and, together with students of the master's program in transportation infrastructure management, the political framework conditions of both countries were compared and contrasted. Both Prof. Dr.-Ing. Lutz Gaspers and Prof. Dr. Trevor Hanson were satisfied with the first joint Summer School and look forward to future projects.
