In their welcoming address, HFT Rector Prof. Dr. Katja Rade and Prof. Dr. Lutz Gaspers, Vice-Rector for Research and Teaching, invited students to 'set goals' and gave the first-year students good wishes for the start of the semester:
emphasized Rade.
Gaspers explained the history and structure of the university and the faculties as well as the basics for everyday study life; Rade explained how aptly the terms climate-competent, resilient and networked were chosen for studying and research at HFT. A short survey showed that the excellent location in the heart of Stuttgart City had played a major role in the decision to study here. StuPa/AStA and the teams from Block 4 and Café Cre8 explained their work and upcoming activities, including the big parties next Thursday and the following Thursday. The students were also given a tour of the campus and the introductory lecture in their respective Bachelor's degree program.
Central institutions and student initiatives presented themselves in the Info Market: From the Erasmus Student Network to the Friends Association, language courses for students at HFT, the student union, the central student advisory service to start-up support from 'Plan G' or the student consultancy 'Campus Konzept Stuttgart'.
We wish all students in their first semester a good start and all the best for their studies at HFT Stuttgart!
