After almost three years of preparation, the time has finally come: With the construction of the prototype in Wuppertal, the long-awaited hot phase of the international university competition SDE 21/22 begins. The team coLLab of the HFT Stuttgart makes its contribution with an urban, ecological redensification and thus enters the solar decathlon with 17 other student teams.
With the announcement of the competition in March 2019, a team of students and professors from various disciplines decided that the Stuttgart University of Applied Sciences would apply to participate in the Solar Decathlon Europe 2021/22. At the Stuttgart University of Applied Sciences, interdisciplinary cooperation in the form of collaborative projects has a long tradition. In 2010, HFT Stuttgart successfully participated in the Solar Decathlon Europe, placing 3rd out of a total of 16 teams in the competition in Madrid. We are looking forward to participating again this time with a strong team and are looking forward to a great event in Wuppertal.
