On January 18 and 19, the twelve university pearls of the months January to December 2022 were allowed to hope for the award University Pearl of the Year 2022. The public voting decided and the HFT Stuttgart could secure the 2nd place with 13 percent of the votes.
First place went to the "SCALE-UP-Räume" project of the Rosenheim University of Applied Sciences and the Ostfalia University of Applied Sciences Wolfenbüttel, while Saarland University secured third place with its "Diversity Room" project.
The Stifterverband's "University Pearl of the Year 2022" award promotes future-oriented learning spaces at universities. The development process and the concept of the HFTMobile already convinced an expert jury of the Stifterverband last year. In June 2022, the HFTMobil was chosen as the university pearl of the month.
