Prof. Monika Joos-Keller | Faculty of Architecture and Design Field: Interior Architecture / Design in the Context of Resource-Efficient and Social Design
Together with her partner Kyrill Keller, Monika Joos-Keller runs the architectural office Joos Keller Architekturbüro mbB BDA. Their projects have been published numerous times and have received awards. Her focus is on architectural clarity and statement with an emphasis on resource-efficient building with wood.
Joos-Keller studied architecture at the University of Stuttgart from 2006 to 2012, for which she received a scholarship for graduate studies. Meanwhile, she completed internships at Foster + Partners and Kuehn Malvezzi Architects in London and Kühn Malvezi in Berlin. She then moved to Switzerland and worked in various offices in Basel and Zurich, such as Harry Gugger, Armon Semadeni and Fuhrimann Hächler. In 2016 she came back to Stuttgart to start her own office. In 2016, she would be admitted to the Baden-Württemberg Chamber of Architects as a freelance architect. In 2019, she was appointed to the BDA. Since 2019, Joos-Keller has also served as an adjudicator.
Prof. Monika Joos-Keller was appointed to the HFT Stuttgart for the summer semester 2022.
