2020 came along with many changes and challenges - but one thing remained unchanged: Our students could rely on the consistently high number of scholarships. Despite the Corona crisis, the HFT Stuttgart awarded 165 scholarships to its students this year.
The cancellation of internships, the loss of student jobs or problems with an old laptop that was not really suitable for online lectures - for many students, the year 2020 was associated with many impairments, fears and worries about the future. The health threat posed by the Corona virus was quickly joined by financial uncertainty. Those who finance their studies completely on their own through part-time jobs faced the question more than once during the year: "Do I have to discontinue my studies because I can no longer finance them on my own, or will I manage to hold out somehow?"
For 165 students at HFT Stuttgart, at least their financial worries have been alleviated somewhat. They are supported in the winter and summer semester with a Deutschlandstipendium or a scholarship from the Studienstiftung of the HFT Stuttgart. This year, 67 companies, offices, foundations and associations donated more than 450,000.00 euros in funding for the HFT students. Despite the economic uncertainty, more than 90 percent of last year's sponsors kept their promise to award scholarships even and even more so in the crisis year 2020.
