The Mathematics Department of HFT Stuttgart has been a cooperation partner of the "Discover Industry" project of the COACHING4FUTURE program of the Baden-Württemberg Stiftung gGmbH since 2019.
The impressive, two-storey roadshow vehicle with almost 100 m² of exhibition space brings the exciting world of industry directly to schools. Since fall 2019, assembly planning, which is being researched in the Rasand research lab of the mathematics program, has been part of the Discover Industry experiential learning truck, which travels to schools in Baden-Württemberg to get students excited about the STEM fields. Discover Industry is part of the Baden-Württemberg Foundation's COACHING4FUTURE program together with the employers' association SÜDWESTMETALL and in cooperation with the Baden-Württemberg regional office of the Federal Employment Agency.
In the experience truck, the working world of MINT professions is shown at five work stations and several exhibit walls. At the implemented exhibit wall on the topic of digital assistants, the students solve a nail puzzle in a race against the computer.
