On February 26, 2015 the Advisory Board Geodesy of the HFT Stuttgart was founded by numerous representatives of public authorities, companies, societies and professors of the field of study geodesy. The advisory board was founded to support the programmes Surveying and Geoinformatics (B. Eng.), Surveying (M. Eng.) and Photogrammetry and Geoinformatics (M. Sc.) and to develop the communication between science and professional experience. This includes:
- The developement of the programmes in general.
- The developement and the improvement of the offered programmes.
- The support by guest lecturers and project- or theses-offers.
- Initiating and the maintenance of networks.
- The support of national and international exchange programmes.
- The formulation and application of research projects.
- The establishment of future main research.
- Events for further education and publicity.
- The evaluation of teaching, research and administration.
