Dialogue forum and Bookrelease

The single-family home has been an integral part of our building culture since the middle of the 20th century and today accounts for a large proportion of the housing stock in Germany.
But in view of ecological, economic and social changes, the question arises: How can existing single-family home neighbourhoods be developed in a sustainable way?
What potential and qualities do they offer?

The research project ‘Living outside the city’ by the Wüstenrot Foundation and the Stuttgart University of Applied Sciences shows: The transformation of these areas can only succeed if the public sector, residents and mediating experts work together.

In five panels - Local Turn, Resources, Scope for Action, Architectural Practice and Change of Perspective - we would like to discuss innovative approaches, challenges and concrete options for action with you.

We are looking forward to your participation and stimulating discussions!
