Students from HFT Stuttgart, Anhalt University of Applied Sciences and TU Berlin exhibit their designs for the new Bauakademie

As part of their master's thesis designs, students of the master's programme in architecture at the HFT Stuttgart dealt with positions on the new building of the Bauakademie Berlin. The Bundesstiftung Bauakademie is now honouring these student works, among others, as part of a public exhibition from 15 May 2025 in the Red Hall, Schinkelplatz 1, 10117 Berlin.

The students also took a close look at the Bundesstiftung Bauakademie as an institution: What must the building of an institution that deals with the future of building be able to achieve? How can it do justice to both the historical legacy of Schinkel's Bauakademie and the innovative spirit of Karl Friedrich Schinkel? How much building is enough in times of dwindling resources? And above all: How must we build in order to master the building revolution?

These are the questions that concern the next generation of architects.

At the opening, the students will talk about their backgrounds and approaches in dialogue with Lars Rohwer, Member of the Bundestag and member of the Board of Trustees of the Federal Foundation Bauakademie, and Achim Wollschläger, Building Commissioner at the Federal Foundation Bauakademie.

We are looking forward to your visit!
