Following the successful re-accreditation of the Bachelor's programs in Computer Science (B.Sc.) and Business Information Systems (B.Sc.) last year, the Accreditation Agency for Study Programs in Engineering, Computer Science, Natural Sciences and Mathematics (ASIIN e. V.) has now also awarded both programs the professional seal of approval. (ASIIN) has now also awarded the professional seal to both study programs.
The ASIIN seal of approval confirms that the two Bachelor's degree programmes in Computer Science (B.Sc.) and Business Information Systems (B.Sc.) meet the Euro-Inf Framework Standards and Accreditation Criteria for Informatics Degree Programmes based on the relevant recommendations of the Gesellschaft für Informatik (GI) for Computer Science and Business Information Systems respectively. For a Bachelor's degree programme in Business Informatics, for example, this means that the 3 subject pillars of Computer Science, Business Administration and Business Informatics as well as basic disciplines such as Mathematics are adequately represented in the modules of the degree programme.
Just like the accreditations, the awarded seals of approval are also valid for a relatively long time, until the end of September 2026.
These seals of approval document for students that these courses of study teach the specialist content that companies expect from graduates of such a course of study when they enter professional life and that universities expect from graduates of advanced Master's courses of study.
