24th Symposium of the Society for Applied Business Psychology (GWPs) and 3rd Day of Business Psychology at the Stuttgart University of Applied Sciences successfully concluded
Under the motto "Business Transformation - Science meets Practice", over 270 scientists*, managers* and students met at the HFT Stuttgart from 4 to 6 March 2020 for a professional exchange of ideas. For the first time, the 24th symposium of the Society for Applied Business Psychology (GWPs) and the 3rd day of Business Psychology took place in a joint event.
In a multitude of keynotes, workshops, lectures and poster presentations, new insights into the major challenges of our time (such as digitization, globalization and sustainability) and their manifold effects on people, companies and markets were discussed. The spectrum of topics ranged from stress life and leadership behavior to sustainable consumption and sustainable mobility. The keynotes were given by Keith Anderson (Robert Bosch GmbH), Eva Schulte (TU Braunschweig), Winfried Berner (Die Umsetzungsberatung), Peter Mentner (Communications Consultant and former Director of Communications and PR at Telefónica Deutschland) and Prof. Jörg Menno Harms (Chairman of the Supervisory Board of HP Deutschland).
Despite the increased hygiene and precautionary measures due to the already intensifying corona issue, the event was conducted smoothly. In addition to the quality of the content of the topics presented, many of the participants praised above all the atmosphere at the HFT. The university, located at the centre of a dynamic business location, which deals with the important transformations in areas such as energy, information technology, infrastructure and mobility of the future, was a particularly inspiring location for the conference's title topic.
