Design IP3 | Lisa Albrecht, Tabea Röck & Lorena Wörner | 4th semester | Winter semester 2024/25

The visitor center in the middle of the forest stretches in a straight line like a footbridge to Hohen Neuffen Castle. This creates a breathtaking view of the castle as well as the tranquil forest.

By distributing the use of the room programme over two parts of the building, the energy requirement is reduced by only heating necessary areas. The arrangement of the two buildings allows direct lines of sight across the footbridge to the castle, as well as open passageways between the buildings. In combination, this results in the design of two set structures in a filigree supporting structure, which allows views in all directions and picks up on elements of the forest, such as the tree trunks, through filigree supports.

The student research project was supervised by Prof. Martin Stumpf, Prof. Volkmar Bleicher & Maria Savva.
