Exhibition in Tübingen: Refurbishment concepts for the Walter-Erbe-School

Date:
-

The Walter-Erbe-Realschule in Tübingen, designed by Roland Ostertag, is in many ways a typical architectural monument of the 1960s: its differentiated spatial composition and direct use of materials still appeal to us today. At the same time, it is precisely these characteristics that make energy-saving and climate-friendly operation difficult.

Students on the Bachelor's degree programme in ClimateEngineering have developed concepts for how such a challenging building can be made fit for the future without jeopardising its character and heritage value. The work produced in the winter semester 2023/24 under the supervision of Prof Markus Binder, Volker Auch-Schwelk, Peter Reiner and Lukas Fischer can now be viewed in an exhibition in the Technical Town Hall of the City of Tübingen.

As part of a midi opening, to which all interested parties are cordially invited, Mayor of Construction Cord Soehlke will give a welcoming address on Friday, 28 June at 4:30 p.m.
